Typically, memory care communities have fewer residents and a higher ratio of caregivers, a private dining room, and their own activities area and outdoor patios. Programmed activities are designed to encourage engagement and improve the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.

Respite stays offer family caregivers a chance to take a break while their loved one receives the care they need in a welcoming, supportive environment. Stay for 30, 45, or 60 days with care and medication management services. Respite programs provide a temporary transition, from hospital or an skilled nursing facility, to back home.

This smaller environment may allow for more intimate care which is essential for seniors who are frailer or would benefit from a higher caregiver ratio. Residential Care homes are typically located in a residential neighborhood and are more cost effective for seniors and families.
